People have been taking Ibuprofen for more than 50 years to help relieve pain. Unfortunately, this drug has been linked to increases in heart attack, stroke and even damage to the small intestines. This increases a risk for those predisposed to get Coeliac disease. It can also cause damage to the stomach and even cause ulcers. Luckily, there is an alternative drug- Paracetamol. All medications have potential side effects. But paracetamol seems to be a safer option for those at risk for a heart attack or stroke. For many, paracetamol is the answer for pain control.
