Over the years, many different diets have been lauded as the best way to lose weight fast. A few years ago, low-fat diets were all the rage. Recent research by the Mayo Clinic, however, shows that low-carb diets tend to cause more weight loss over a six month period than low-fat diets. In some cases, the difference in weight loss was nine pounds. While the results aren’t a guarantee that a low-carb diet will help everyone, they do show that there is more research to be done in the world of dieting success.
